Maldives Minister Heena Waleed Observes China’s Historical Document Preservation Efforts

Maldives Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage Heena Waleed has concluded a visit to China where she observed efforts to preserve the country’s historical writings. During her official trip, the minister visited the National Archives of Publications and Culture and the Zhejiang Library in Hangzhou. She gained insights into the preservation of ancient texts and the role of literature in safeguarding cultural memories for future generations. The visit was part of the fourth council meeting of the first association formed by Asian countries to protect cultural heritage, where the Maldives was represented.
