Maldives Post Enables Rufiyaa Payments for Global Ducan Online Shopping
World ·
Maldives Post has launched a new payment system designed to simplify the shopping experience for Maldivians using Global Ducan. The service allows customers to bypass the complexities of international currency transactions by offering a more accessible way to pay for global goods.
Under the new arrangement, shoppers can select the 'Pay through Maldives Post' option during checkout. This system allows eligible customers to receive a direct payment link through the Global Ducan application, enabling them to complete transactions in Maldivian Rufiyaa. This removes the traditional barrier of requiring foreign currency accounts or international credit cards for every purchase.
Global Ducan serves as a gateway to some of the world's largest e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, IKEA, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and Nykaa Fashion. By integrating a local payment solution, Maldives Post aims to make these global marketplaces more accessible to the general public, fostering a more inclusive digital commerce environment in the Maldives.
This initiative is an extension of an existing strategic partnership between Maldives Post and India Post. Through this collaboration, Maldivian residents can purchase products from India’s e-commerce ecosystem via Global Ducan and have them delivered directly to any location across the archipelago. A key advantage of this service is that customers are no longer required to have a physical shipping address in India to facilitate their orders.
Maldives Post stated that the introduction of this convenient payment method is a significant step toward expanding the opportunities for Maldivians to engage in online trade. By streamlining the financial process, the company is lowering the entry barrier for citizens to access a wider variety of international products and services.
