The Maldives has reaffirmed its commitment to multilateral diplomacy and global cooperation at a major international forum.
Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel stated the nation remains dedicated to constructive dialogue and advancing shared solutions for peace, justice, and sustainable development. He made the remarks on social media after attending the opening of the Doha Forum 2025 in Qatar, where he is leading the Maldivian delegation.
The 23rd edition of the forum, running from December 6-7, brings together heads of state, ministers, policymakers, and experts from over 150 countries. It serves as a leading global platform for discussions on diplomacy, governance, development, and security.
This year’s theme, "Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress," focuses on turning policy commitments into tangible results across various sectors. Minister Khaleel noted the meeting will address the world's most pressing challenges.
The Doha Forum is recognized as a critical venue for tackling emerging global issues, fostering dialogue, and promoting practical, cooperative solutions.
