Maldives takes part in Belt and Road Green Innovation Conference in Hong Kong

The Maldives has participated in the Belt and Road Green Innovation Conference and the Eco Expo Asia Conference, held in Hong Kong, playing an important role at the events. The Maldives was represented by Minister of State Aishath Inaya and Deputy Minister Ali Naseer. The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Energy said the conference served as a very important platform to strengthen ties with various international parties working on environmental protection and sustainable development, exchange ideas, and find opportunities for collaboration. The ministry added that the meetings opened up major opportunities to pave the way for new solutions and projects related to green innovation, environmental protection, climate action, and sustainable development. The ministry also noted that the Maldives is a country that faces significant challenges due to climate change, and that participating in such important international meetings is expected to further strengthen the country's environmental protection efforts.
