Maldives to Host Spectacular Three-Day New Year Festival Featuring First-Ever Pyro-Drone Show

The Maldives is set to welcome the New Year with a grand three-day food and culture festival in Hulhumale', featuring the country’s first-ever pyro-drone show. Organized by Visit Maldives, the festival will run from Tuesday to Thursday, starting at 16:00 each day. Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree announced at a press conference that this year’s celebrations aim to highlight achievements across various fields and will include a range of family-friendly activities. Unlike last year’s single-day event, this year’s festival promises a more vibrant experience, with a drone show scheduled for Wednesday night at 21:00, synchronised with fireworks-style visual effects. Traditional fireworks will follow at midnight. Shiuree encouraged the public to attend in large numbers to witness this historic spectacle.
