Maldives Tourism Authority Backs Major Four-City Roadshow in India
Politics ·
The Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has officially endorsed a major four-city tourism roadshow across western India, organized by Tatabye Tours. The business-to-business initiative, scheduled for late March 2026, will connect 25 Maldivian luxury resorts directly with Indian travel professionals.
The roadshow will visit Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Pune between March 31 and April 4. Each event will gather travel agents, tour operators, and industry stakeholders for one-to-one meetings, networking, and destination presentations. The goal is to strengthen the Maldives' brand presence in India, increase destination awareness, and foster partnerships between Maldivian resorts and Indian travel trade professionals.
Tatabye Tours, an India-based specialist with over a decade of experience, holds direct contracts with more than 130 properties in the Maldives. This allows the company to offer competitive pricing, real-time availability, and exclusive packages. The VMC endorsement highlights the firm's established role in promoting the Maldives as a premier destination and supporting service delivery to industry partners.
India remains a vital source market for Maldivian tourism. This roadshow forms part of a broader strategy to maintain high destination visibility, reinforce trade relationships, and encourage increased travel from India to the Maldives. The initiative will showcase the full spectrum of Maldivian tourism experiences, including luxury stays, romance, wellness, and diving and marine activities.
