Local News ·
Maldives Zakat House has announced the panelists for the second session of the International Zakat Conference (INZAC 2026), scheduled to take place on 28 October 2026 at the Islamic Centre in Male' City. The session, themed 'The Foundation of Creativity: Working Together Across Sectors and Collaborative Solutions,' will focus on finding sustainable solutions for individuals and families in need through cross-sector collaboration.
The panel features key figures from various fields: Ash-Sheikh Imthithaa'u Abbas, Director General of Maldives Zakat House; Mohamed Arshad, Head of Digital Solutions at MindCord; Abdullah Ashraf, Social Services Coordinator from the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare; and Hassan Shamaam, Vice President of the Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Discussions will explore how to strengthen assistance for beneficiaries by integrating zakat with government social safety nets, digital tools, and private sector initiatives. The panel aims to establish a robust national system that connects zakat and other Islamic social finance mechanisms with broader social welfare programs, moving away from isolated efforts toward coordinated, sustainable support that fosters economic self-reliance.
The conference will run from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on 28 October 2026 at the Islamic Centre in Male' City.
