Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Sexual Abuse of Three-Year-Old

The Criminal Court has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing a three-year-old child. The sentence was handed down against Mohamed Naish Adham of Hudhumage, Huraifushi, Haa Alif Atoll. For the safety of the abused child, the details of the case have not been disclosed by the Criminal Court. The state charged Naish with sexually abusing a three-year-old child on various dates starting from the year 2025. While he was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison, considering the reduction for time spent in custody, he will be required to serve a prison sentence of 18 years, seven months, and 28 days.
