Manchester City bond stronger after charges proven, says Maresca

Sports ·
Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca has said that the bond within the club has become stronger after it was announced that the charges against the club have been proven. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Premier League match against Ipswich Town, Maresca noted that the unity between the club and supporters has strengthened, and the team's internal unity is now stronger than before. He stressed the importance of raising 'City's voice' to drown out external noise, adding that the team wants to do that through their performances on the pitch. Maresca described the recent 3-0 away win over Liverpool as the first step and said the next task is to beat Ipswich Town. He also revealed that after the charges were announced, City played a 4-2 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, a match attended by former coach Pep Guardiola, who expressed satisfaction with the team's progress. City currently top the Premier League table with a perfect record of six wins from six matches, earning 18 points. Maresca said he is happy working at City and that the charges do not affect his focus; his only concern is improving the team and winning matches.
