Maumoon Foundation and Islamic Ministry Sign MoU for Mutual Cooperation

The Maumoon Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to enhance mutual cooperation in their respective fields. The agreement was signed by Maumoon Foundation’s chairman, former Maldivian president Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom, and Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed. Under the MoU, the Maumoon Foundation will undertake a project to renovate the Islamic Centre in Malé, ensuring its long-term utility in line with agreed terms. The collaboration also includes Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom’s participation in Islamic Ministry events, including delivering speeches at functions organized at the Islamic Centre. Additionally, the Islamic Ministry will provide support for various Islamic and social activities organized by the Maumoon Foundation, including assistance in establishing its digital archive and library.
