MDP Leader Nasheed Delivers Message on Local Council Elections

Abdul Ghafoor Moosa, a member of MDP's disciplinary committee, has been appointed as the party's Chief Election Agent, announced former President Mohamed Nasheed. In a post on X, Nasheed emphasized the importance of the party's unity in preparation for the upcoming local council elections. Nasheed stated that the party is committed to ensuring success in the local council elections scheduled for April 4, 2026. He highlighted the need for all party members to work together to secure victory in the elections. Nasheed also mentioned that Ghafoor was elected to the position with 65 out of 66 votes during a national council meeting. The local council elections are set to take place on April 4, 2026.
