Politics ·
Member of the People's Majlis of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), Abdullah Rashid Hassan, has stated that the ongoing project involving granting a large area of Rasmalé permanently to Eagle Hills is part of pre-planned efforts to erase the 100 percent Muslim identity and Islamic unity present in this country. Speaking on the cover story "Land of Maldivians to Maldivians," Abdullah Rashid said that global Zionist governments are continuously working to change the Islamic state in the Maldives, which has existed for over 900 years. He further stated that different methods are now being used to remove Islamic unity in countries and erase Islam, involving entering people's minds and corrupting their hearts to spread other religions. Abdullah Rashid raised questions about the purpose of big leaders, billionaires, and individuals of high standing coming to conduct speeches and establish laws among the few hundred thousand people in the Maldives, linked to such projects and spending millions and billions of rupees to enslave them. He stated that the reality of all these matters is to eliminate and replace the 100 percent Islamic name in the Maldives. Abdullah Rashid stated that there are many hidden aspects in the Rasmalé project and that this is not a project carried out for the development of the Maldives and the progress of the citizens, and called for Maldivians to come out and halt this project.
