MIFCO CEO Pledges Support for Huvadhoo Fishermen During Thinadhoo Site Visit

Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) Managing Director and CEO Mohamed Anas has concluded a two-day visit to Thinadhoo in Huvadhoo Atoll, focusing on resolving operational challenges faced by the region's fishing community. During the visit, CEO Anas held direct consultations with fishermen at the harbor area and the local fishermen's square. These meetings served as an open forum for local fishers to voice their daily grievances and outline the specific needs required to improve their livelihoods and operational efficiency. A central highlight of the trip was an inspection of the Thinadhoo Fisheries Complex. The project is now nearing completion and is designed to serve as a critical hub for the region. Once operational, the complex is expected to significantly reduce the logistical hardships and travel burdens currently faced by fishermen, particularly those operating in the southern reaches of Huvadhoo Atoll. This outreach is part of a wider strategic initiative by MIFCO to bridge the gap between the company's administration and the fishing communities nationwide.
