Minister Saeed Says Public Trust in Muizzu Government Policies Evident After Majlis Confidence Vote

Economic Development and Trade Minister Mohamed Saeed has said that the confidence and certainty among the people towards the long-sighted and wise policies developed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government and his manifesto are evident, following the People's Majlis determination that there was confidence in him. In a post on X, Minister Saeed stated that the reason the country was prevented from becoming bankrupt was due to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's thinking. He said that during his tenure, he achieved success in raising the country's economic rating, restoring financial confidence, and finding solutions to many economic problems. The minister stated that plans have been initiated to develop visions that can bring the country's economy on par with the economies of developed countries and implement them practically. He stated that although there were many questions in the inquiries made by the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) that were not directly related to the mandate, he has responded truthfully and with honesty by revealing the truth to all those questions. He stated that unlike previous governments, this government is setting an exemplary example of accountability to the people, and this is the instruction given by President Muizzu to ministers. "In the matter filed by the opposition MDP stating that they do not have confidence in me before the People's Majlis today, I have responded most effectively and with utmost honesty regarding my qualifications and abilities," stated the Economic Minister Saeed. Furthermore, Minister Saeed expressed gratitude for the closeness, friendship, and confidence shown towards him by the Speaker of the People's Majlis Abdurrahim Abdullah, PG Leader Ibrahim Falaah, and other members of the Majlis' PNC. While the country's economy is also linked to the world market, the minister stated that the success of this government in solving the problems faced will be visible. Additionally, the minister highlighted that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government is like an open egg where both sides are visible.
