Ministry Awards Contract to Build Vocational Centers in Fuvahmulah and Funadhoo

The Ministry of Higher Education has awarded Central Line Pvt Ltd the contract to establish vocational training centers in Fuvahmulah and Sh. Funadhoo. The agreement was signed on Wednesday by Permanent Secretary Aishath Hikma on behalf of the ministry, while Managing Director Abdullah Asim represented Central Line. The centers will feature a multi-purpose workshop, classrooms, IT lab, administrative offices, staff room, student services area, meeting rooms, study room, and library. The ministry plans to open a vocational school in Fuvahmulah providing training in ten fields, including architectural technology, cake making, automotive engineering, and information technology. Admission requires completion of Grade 10 and being under 18 years of age by December 31 of the previous year. The ministry has not yet announced an opening date for the school.
