MNDF Announces Series of Events for Victory Day Celebrations

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has announced a series of events to mark this year's Victory Day (Nasru's Day). The activities will begin with a Fajr prayer service at the Islamic Centre on November 3, followed by a flag-hoisting ceremony at the 3 November Memorial at 06:00 hrs. A military display open to the public will be held at Jumhooree Maidhaan at 16:15 hrs on the same day. The official Victory Day ceremony in the evening will feature the release of the MNDF's national song album. Additional events, including a photo exhibition, military display, and a children's evening, will be held in HDh. Dhidhdhoo on November 13-14 and in HDh. Baarashu on November 20-21. These islands are the home islands of two martyrs of the 3 November 1988 attack: Shahid Al-Marhum Umar Ahmed and Shahid Al-Marhum Ibrahim Hussain. All MNDF area commands will also hold congregational Fajr prayers, flag-hoisting ceremonies, and Victory Day runs.
