Mrunal Thakur Addresses Rumours of Joining Atlee's 'Raaka'

Entertainment ·
Actress Mrunal Thakur has responded to reports claiming she will appear in director Atlee's sci-fi film "Raaka", which stars Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. For several days, media reports have circulated that Mrunal Thakur is joining the cast of the film. Speaking to "Mid-Day" about the matter, Mrunal neither denied nor confirmed the reports. She said that over the past six to seven months she has not signed on to any new films, and that she is currently waiting for a meaningful, good role. "If I need to announce a film in the future, I will do so through my social media accounts. That will put an end to all these rumors," Mrunal said. She further explained that her decision to wait and not act is not because offers are not coming her way, but because she is not drawn to the stories currently being presented to her. She emphasized that she wants to do creative work that brings her personal satisfaction, rather than simply seeking fame. "Raaka" is a big-budget film scheduled to release in 2027, and marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee. Official sources have yet to make any statement regarding the rest of the cast.
