MTCC Sweep Past Police in National Volleyball League
Sports ·
Club MTCC secured a dominant victory over Police Club in the National Volleyball League women's division on Tuesday, winning in straight sets. The match, played at the Social Centre indoor court, ended with set scores of 24-26, 18-25, and 20-25. Despite both teams featuring several national team players and expectations of a competitive contest, MTCC controlled the game from start to finish. The first set saw some resistance from Police Club, but MTCC came from behind to take it. The remaining two sets were entirely dominated by MTCC. This was the second match of the league for both sides. Police Club had previously beaten Huraa Community Club in straight sets, while MTCC defeated City Friends Club 3-1 in their opener. The league continues tomorrow with two men's division matches: Lions Recreation Club takes on Club MTCC at 16:15, and Club HDC faces the Maldives National Defence Force Club at 20:30. All matches are streamed live on the Sun Play app. Tickets are available for 30 Rufiyaa at the Social Centre or 25 Rufiyaa online via the Sun Play app.
