MWSC Opens First In-House Auditorium to End Reliance on Rented Venues

The Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has officially inaugurated its first dedicated auditorium, providing the utility provider with a modern space for corporate gatherings and high-level meetings. Sheikh Ahmed Sameer presided over the inauguration ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the company. The new facility is designed to eliminate MWSC's previous reliance on external rented venues, streamlining the organization's logistics for internal events. The state-of-the-art auditorium features a large conference room capable of hosting up to 425 attendees, alongside a specialized boardroom designed for 28 people. To ensure a comprehensive hosting experience, the venue is equipped with modern facilities and dedicated catering arrangements, making it suitable for a wide range of professional functions. Highlighting the efficiency of the project, MWSC Managing Director Hussain Fahmy revealed that the facility was developed entirely by the company’s own employees. The team successfully designed and completed the construction of the auditorium within a rapid 45-day timeframe. Looking ahead, MWSC intends to leverage the space beyond internal use. The company plans to make the auditorium available for booking by other corporate entities and various government agencies, positioning the venue as a strategic hub for professional events in the capital. The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of MWSC staff, celebrating the completion of a project that reflects the company's internal technical capabilities and commitment to operational independence.
