National Social Protection Agency Allocates Over 12 Million MVR for Therapy Services

The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has announced the allocation of 12.4 million MVR for therapy services, as revealed in their recent financial reports. The funds have been primarily directed towards behavioral care, particularly for individuals requiring support for daily living and interpersonal skills. Notably, occupational therapy received the largest share at 3.49 million MVR, followed by speech therapy at 3.27 million MVR. Overall, 359 individuals benefited from these services, with 252 males and 107 females registering for assistance. Educational therapy accounted for 1.88 million MVR, while physiotherapy and psychotherapy received 118,400 MVR and 99,300 MVR, respectively. Additionally, early intervention services were allocated 9,000 MVR. According to NSPA, 14,938 individuals registered for non-active services this month, including 5,050 children under 18, 7,613 individuals aged 18-64, and 2,275 individuals over 65. The agency emphasized the growing demand for therapy services, particularly for young children, and reiterated its commitment to improving accessibility for citizens.
