New Cold Storage and Processing Facility Launched in Kandholhudhoo

A new cold storage facility equipped with fish processing capabilities has been inaugurated in Kandholhudhoo, marking a significant step forward for the local fishing community. This development was announced during an official ceremony attended by key stakeholders, including the Minister of Fisheries, Ahmed Shiyam, and the Managing Director of Tree Way Enterprises, Hassan Ibrahim. The initiative is part of broader efforts to provide sustainable economic opportunities for the residents of Kandholhudhoo, who were displaced following the 2004 tsunami. The new facility is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the local fishing industry by improving storage and processing capacities.
