Economic Minister and PNC Vice President Mohamed Saeed expressed that the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) did not hold a rally or gather supporters during the local council elections campaign. Saeed emphasized that despite being the largest party, the MDP failed to secure significant votes in the election. Speaking at a campaign event organized by the Progressive National Congress (PNC), Saeed highlighted the shortcomings of the MDP, which he believes contributed to its lack of success. He also pointed out instances where the MDP allegedly mismanaged funds and resources, which further alienated voters. Saeed urged the public not to vote for the MDP, citing various reasons for the party's decline.
