On Anti-Corruption Day, Siyam Urges End to Corruption and Misuse of Power

Dh. Meedhoo MP and MDA President Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has called on Maldivians to reject all forms of corruption, warning that theft and misuse of public resources lead to societal ruin and divine punishment. In a post on X marking International Anti-Corruption Day, Siyam emphasized that Islam strictly forbids corruption and commands honesty and justice. He stated that those who engage in corruption, even indirectly, face severe consequences in the afterlife. Siyam urged leaders entrusted with running state institutions and citizens to refrain from theft and uphold integrity. He also reiterated calls for institutions to take stronger action against corruption. His message aligns with his longstanding advocacy for ethical governance and national integrity.
