OneGov Platform Expands to 400 Services Across 23 Government Agencies
Politics ·
The Maldives Innovation and Digital Company (MINDCO) has announced that the OneGov platform now hosts over 400 digital services and more than 300 public information resources from 23 different government agencies.
Designed as a comprehensive one-stop digital portal, OneGov centralizes services from multiple institutions into a single interface. This integration aims to reduce bureaucratic friction and provide citizens and businesses with a more efficient way to interact with the state.
Launched in 2023, the platform initially focused on business-related services from five agencies. While the number of participating institutions grew to 26, MINDCO confirmed the count has been adjusted to 23 to align with recent changes in the government's administrative structure.
Managing Director Saeeda Umar stated that the government is actively working to further streamline the services offered through the system. The ambition is to significantly scale the portal's reach within the current year.
According to Umar, the government's target is to migrate approximately 70 percent of all national government services onto the OneGov platform. Additionally, the administration aims to integrate 40 percent of local council services, extending digital accessibility to residents across the atolls.
This digital transformation represents a strategic shift toward a more transparent and accessible government, moving away from fragmented institutional portals toward a unified digital ecosystem for all Maldivians.
