The Palestine national under-17 football team is set to arrive in the Maldives for a training camp, with two friendly matches scheduled against the Maldivian U-17 side on the island of Guraidhoo. The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) confirmed that the camp is part of Palestine's preparations for the upcoming AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers. The Palestinian team is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on Tuesday, October 27. According to FAM, the two friendly matches between the two nations' under-17 teams will both be held in Guraidhoo. The first match is scheduled for October 30, with the second match set for November 2. FAM stated that these matches will provide valuable international experience for the Maldivian youth team, which is also preparing for the qualifiers, and will further strengthen the sporting ties between the two countries. FAM noted the significant assistance and support provided by the Maldivian government and the Guraidhoo Council in organizing the camp and expressed special gratitude for their help. The Palestinian team is scheduled to depart the Maldives for the qualifiers on November 5th following the conclusion of the camp. Last year, the Palestine U-17 team also camped in the Maldives, playing two friendly matches against the Maldivian youth team at the Galolhu National Stadium. The opportunity for the camp was facilitated by the Minister of Sports, Abdulla Rafiu. The Palestinian team won both of those matches, which drew large crowds.
