The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development has awarded points to the forms submitted by applicants for the 100 housing units being built in Th. Vilufushi, in accordance with the regulations for the allocation of these units. In a notice published in the Government Gazette today, the Ministry stated that applicants can now log in to the 'Hiyavahi Portal' to view the points awarded to their submitted forms. The Ministry has also opened the opportunity to submit complaints regarding the awarded points or any other related issues through the portal. According to the announcement, a formal 10-day period has been given for submitting complaints, which will end at 14:00 on Tuesday, the 10th of next month. The Ministry said that complaints submitted through any means other than the Hiyavahi Portal, or after the deadline, will not be considered. It also said that the final list of recipients of the housing units will be announced after reviewing the submitted complaints. The Ministry stated that points were awarded to applicants for the flats in this project, which is being carried out in Vilufushi, an island with a population of over one thousand, based on criteria set by the government. The review of the forms was conducted by a special committee that included a team selected from Vilufushi, along with the Ministry. Physical work on the 100 housing units in Vilufushi first began in 2014. However, after a five-year hiatus due to court cases, work resumed in 2019. All row houses developed under this project are now fully complete. When the opportunity to apply for these units was opened until the end of April this year, more than 200 individuals applied.
