Police Arrest Four in Malé Drug Operation, Seize 111 Grams of Suspected Narcotics

The Police Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence conducted a special operation in Malé on October 31, leading to the arrest of four individuals in a drug case. Those arrested are Shivān Ibrāhīm (45) from M. Pinklight, Malé; Ahmed Muḥammad (38) from Alībādu, Thimarafushi, Thaa Atoll; Azhad Ali Manik (41) from Maaleyge, Thimarafushi, Thaa Atoll; and Aminath Nisa (41) from Villa, Thimarafushi, Thaa Atoll. They face allegations of drug use, possession, trading, and trafficking. Police searched three houses in Malé, seizing 111.15 grams of substances suspected to be drugs. The court ordered the suspects' detention for five days, and investigations are ongoing.
