Police MV App Relaunched with Enhanced Features for Community Safety and Digital Transformation

The Police MV mobile application has been relaunched with upgraded services and new features aimed at enhancing community safety and streamlining public services. The updated app was officially launched by Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, Dr Mohamed Kinanath. The app now supports eFaas login, aligning with the Maldives 2.0 digital transformation initiative, which seeks to accelerate public service delivery and improve accessibility. Key features of the revamped app include reporting crimes and submitting evidence, direct communication with investigating officers, online applications for detainee visits and lawyer appointments, viewing lost items, accessing towed vehicle information, and managing police-related transactions. Additionally, users can now download police certificates and clearances digitally. At the launch ceremony, State Minister Kinanath highlighted the importance of technology-driven laws such as the Cyber Security Act, Data Protection Act, and Digital ID Act, which are being drafted as part of the Maldives 2.0 initiative. He emphasised the need for interconnected systems among government agencies to enhance data exchange and accelerate service delivery. The relaunch of the Police MV app marks a significant step in leveraging technology to empower citizens and improve public safety.
