Muizzu honored active officers, calling them the 'blue army' for their relentless day and night service to the nation. He extended profound gratitude to the families of police personnel and every officer who has served honorably since the force's inception. The president stated that a paramount objective is for the police to perpetually operate as an organization that cultivates resilient youth and essential public servants. He underscored the government's expectation for the police to remain a highly capable and accountable entity, mandated with guaranteeing enduring peace and trust for all citizens and foreign visitors experiencing the Maldives' beauty and tranquility. Historically, the police service was established in 1933 under the 'Fuluhu Meeha' legislation with the first constitution.
