President Muizzu Calls for Faith and Life Skills Education on Children's Day

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has emphasized that the truest expression of love for children is providing them with a strong foundation in faith and the practical knowledge required to navigate the modern world.
Marking the national observance of Children’s Day on May 10, the President shared a message calling for a collective effort to nurture the next generation. He asserted that equipping children with both religious understanding and worldly education is a critical component of their growth and well-being.
President Muizzu described the provision of age-appropriate education and upbringing as a shared national responsibility. According to the President, this duty must be fulfilled through a joint partnership between the government and the general public to ensure no child is left behind in their development.
Beyond academic and spiritual guidance, the President highlighted the necessity of empowering youth with the essential life skills needed to evolve into responsible, contributing citizens. He stressed that fostering independence and civic responsibility is integral to the long-term stability of the nation.
Furthermore, the President issued a call for the protection of children's innocence, urging society to shield them from harmful words or actions that could negatively impact their psychological and emotional development.
Children’s Day is observed annually across the Maldives every May 10, serving as a reminder of the state's and society's commitment to safeguarding the rights and futures of the country's youngest citizens.
