President Muizzu Frames Election Manifesto as National Development Plan

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared that his presidential manifesto serves as the cornerstone of the Maldives' National Development Plan. During a meeting with residents at Kalaafaanu School in Henveiru ward, Muizzu emphasized that the public’s vote for his manifesto reflected their priorities and aspirations. He stated that his decisions are guided by a clear understanding of public sentiment, ensuring that all actions are consultative and aligned with the people’s needs. The President also highlighted that amendments to existing laws would be introduced where necessary. Earlier, during a Cabinet meeting in September 2024, Muizzu initiated the formulation of a 20-year National Development Plan, expected to be completed within the next year with broad public participation. The plan aims to align with the nation’s long-term goals and aspirations.
