President Muizzu: No Room for Other Faiths in Rasmale' Development
Politics ·
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has firmly stated that no other religion besides Islam will be permitted in the Rasmale' development area being built by UAE-based Eagle Hills. Speaking on 'The False' podcast produced by the President's Office, Muizzu said Rasmale' is Maldivian soil and will be governed by the Constitution, which enshrines Islam as the state religion. He dismissed as politically motivated lies the claims that places of worship for other faiths would be built there. The President noted that even in Maldivian resorts hosting hundreds of thousands of tourists and in the Malé region where many expatriates live, no such facilities exist. He reiterated that no school will be built in Rasmale', only mosques and a Maldives Police facility.
