President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Maldives' commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Malaysia, emphasizing that the longstanding friendship between the two nations should serve as a catalyst for increased economic opportunities and strategic cooperation. In separate official messages addressed to Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the President marked Malaysia’s Independence Day by highlighting five decades of warm and enduring diplomatic ties. President Muizzu noted that these relations are rooted in a foundation of mutual respect, cooperation, and friendship. Addressing King Sultan Ibrahim, the President reiterated his dedication to expanding cooperation to ensure mutual benefits for the citizens of both nations.
