President Muizzu Reinforces Diplomatic Ties With Jordan on Its Independence Day

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as the nation celebrates its Independence Day, emphasizing the enduring friendship and diplomatic bonds between the two countries.
In separate formal letters addressed to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Dr. Jafar Hassan, President Muizzu conveyed sincere greetings on behalf of the government and people of the Maldives.
Addressing King Abdullah II, the President highlighted the deep value the Maldives places on its steadfast relationship with Jordan, which he described as being characterized by mutual respect and a cooperative spirit. President Muizzu expressed strong confidence that these bilateral ties will continue to flourish and strengthen, reaffirming the Maldives' commitment to nurturing the partnership.
In his correspondence to Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the President noted that the relationship between the two nations is built upon a foundation of shared principles and mutual trust. He expressed optimism that the robust partnership would not only persist but would diversify into new, meaningful areas of bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
President Muizzu concluded both messages by wishing the Jordanian leadership continued health and well-being, while expressing his hopes for lasting peace, progress, and prosperity for the Jordanian people.
Jordan's Independence Day, observed annually on May 25, marks the nation's 1946 liberation from the British Mandate and its transition into a sovereign kingdom. The exchange of greetings reflects the Maldives' ongoing efforts to maintain strong diplomatic relations with key partners across the Middle East.
