President Muizzu Urges National Support for Parents to Shape Future Generations

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on the nation to recognize the pivotal role of parents in fostering a strong generation and driving the Maldives toward sustainable prosperity and development.
In a statement released via his official X account to mark the Global Day of Parents, the President paid tribute to the resilience and selfless sacrifices of parents. He emphasized that the love and guidance provided within the home are the primary forces that shape future generations and strengthen the national fabric.
President Muizzu further linked the importance of the family unit to current state priorities, noting that the government's strategic investments in healthcare, education, and community-based programs are designed to support the Maldivian tradition of the family serving as the cornerstone of society.
Joining the call for recognition, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed expressed her solidarity with parents, highlighting the patience and sacrifice required to nurture children. She remarked that the bond of family remains the heart of Maldivian communities, urging citizens to ensure parents have the necessary space and support to fulfill their roles effectively.
The First Lady stressed that creating an environment of care and protection is essential for ensuring every child in the Maldives has access to the opportunities they need to succeed.
