President Muizzu's words and actions don't align, says financial expert Zariyandhu
Politics ·
Financial expert Ismail Zariyandhu has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's speeches and practical actions do not align, making it difficult for the public to trust government policies. Speaking on Rajje TV's talk program, Zariyandhu said the President often speaks in two different ways, with subsequent statements contradicting earlier ones. He highlighted confusion and ambiguity in the President's statements regarding the Rasmalé project, noting that while significant expenses are being incurred, the President's earlier promise of a glass tunnel connecting Malé is no longer mentioned. Zariyandhu also pointed out that Housing Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib stated such a tunnel is not feasible in the Maldives due to unknown depths and lack of technology. The expert raised questions about whether the agreement with Eagle Hills for the Rasmalé project should be revealed, as citizens remain concerned.
