President's Office Launches Directory of State Institutions Website
Politics ·
The Office of the President has established a Directory of State Institutions and launched a dedicated website for it, in a move aimed at making accurate information about state institutions easily accessible in one place.
The directory website, which can be found at directory.presidency.gov.mv, was launched today. According to the Office of the President, the initiative forms part of the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen state administration and to formulate government governance on a highly transparent basis, in line with the vision of "Maldives 2.0".
To ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the directory, institutions are required to report any changes to the information it contains. This includes changes such as the name of the person designated by an institution as its head, the address of the institution, the means by which the institution can be contacted, and links to the institution's social media accounts.
Such matters must be submitted to the Office of the President through the form or email arranged on the directory's website for raising issues.
In addition, the government has arranged that, in the systems, databases, websites, and social media channels used to consolidate and maintain the official correspondence, circulars, and information of state administrations, the names of state institutions shall be written in Dhivehi and English in the manner specified in the directory.
