Ahmed Shakeeb, Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM), has emphasized that public trust in ‘Dhivehiraajjeyge Adu’, the Maldives’ national radio broadcaster, stems from its commitment to concise, accurate, and truthful reporting. Speaking on its 63rd anniversary, Shakeeb underscored radio's integral role in Maldivian society, noting its historical significance during the nation’s independence. He highlighted the broadcaster’s accessibility and adaptability, citing its integration into ‘PSM Air’ to expand digital access. Shakeeb also outlined future plans to enhance public service delivery by incorporating youth voices and technological innovation while maintaining a focus on religious, cultural, and national priorities. Yameen Rasheed, Deputy Managing Director, echoed these sentiments, reflecting on the broadcaster’s evolution into a multi-platform service and its ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and quality.
