Public Service Media (PSM) has secured partnerships with five private television channels to ensure nationwide coverage of the upcoming SAFF Under-20 Championship. The agreements with SSTV, VTV, MMTV, Mendhuru TV, and Dhivehi Channel aim to maximize public access to the youth football tournament.
The signings were formalized by PSM Deputy Managing Director Abdulla Yameen and Executive Director of News and Current Affairs, Hussain Ameen Naseer, alongside representatives from the partner outlets. PSM Sports will serve as the primary broadcaster, airing all tournament matches live and producing pre-match shows for games involving the Maldives national team.
Seven teams are competing in the championship: Maldives, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Nepal. Teams have already begun arriving in the Maldives for the tournament, which is scheduled to commence on March 23.
Tickets for the matches are now on sale. The Maldives team will play its first match at 20:30 hours on March 23, followed by subsequent games on the nights of March 25 and March 27.
