Public Service Media (PSM) has entered into a strategic partnership with My Q Study Expo Pvt Ltd to enhance the professional capabilities of its workforce through a comprehensive technical training program. The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishes a framework for technical training and the exchange of critical information across multiple operational fields. The partnership aims to elevate the skill sets of PSM employees, ensuring the national broadcaster remains competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. During the signing ceremony, PSM Managing Director Ahmed Shakeeb praised My Q Study Expo as a reliable partner with a proven track record of facilitating higher education and university placements for Maldivian students. Shakeeb emphasized that the initiative is not limited to technical departments, but is designed to improve organizational capacity across all areas of the broadcaster's operations. To ensure structured delivery, the training programs will be conducted via the Maldives Media Institute. In a significant boost to staff development, these programs will be provided free of charge. According to My Q Study Expo CEO Veejayasegaran Arumugom, the first phase of the training is scheduled to launch in July. The initial curriculum will focus on five core pillars of media excellence: broadcasting, journalism, communication skills, team building, and public speaking. By integrating these specialized training modules, PSM seeks to modernize its journalistic approach and improve the efficiency of its communication channels, ultimately enhancing the quality of public service broadcasting delivered to the Maldivian public.
