Registration Deadline for National Shooting Championship 2026 Extended

The registration deadline for the National Shooting Sports Association Championship 2026 has been extended until the 25th of this month. The Shooting Association of Maldives told PSM News that the participation period was extended because many people had requested it. The association said the opportunity to take part in the competition has been extended until the 25th of this month. The National Shooting Sports Association Championship 2026 is scheduled to begin on November 1 at Hulhumale' Sports Range. This year's competition includes a Paralympic category for the first time. Training sessions for para athletes competing in the event have also now begun. The national shooting championship will be held across Professional, Junior, Youth, Paralympic, and Amateur categories. It will feature air rifle and air pistol events. In each age group, women's, men's and mixed team events, as well as women's and men's team events, will be held. The Shooting Association of Maldives said the purpose of holding such a competition open to the public is to train and develop young athletes who are advancing shooting sports in the Maldives. It also aims to build a dignified national shooting team that can produce athletes from this Olympic sport and create opportunities to compete at national and international level, bringing a good name and pride to the country, the association said.
