Registration is now open for the 13th edition of the Maldives Finance Forum, organised by the Maldives Pension Administration Office. The forum is scheduled to take place on November 14 at DusitD2 Feydhoo, Maldives. This year's theme is "Green Finance: Unlocking Sustainable Investment and Financial Security in the Maldives." The forum will bring together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, investors and experts from the Maldives and the international community. Discussions will centre on ways to secure long-term sustainable capital to advance the country's economic and financial sector. The Pension Office noted that climate-related risks are increasingly viewed as financial risks by investors and financing providers, changing how countries and institutions access long-term capital. The forum is expected to explore how to build a credible green finance market in the Maldives, along with financial instruments linked to development policies and market conditions. It will also highlight opportunities for sustainable investment in renewable energy, climate-resilient infrastructure and the blue economy. As the Maldives' largest institutional investor and main social security administrator, the Pension Office said the forum offers participants a valuable chance to exchange views with national and international experts and financial leaders, and to identify new opportunities for the Maldives within a sustainable financial system.
