Renowned TV Host Shakeeb Appointed Managing Director of PSM

Renowned TV host Ahmed Shakeeb, popularly known as Shaakeeb Be, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the state media Public Service Media (PSM). The announcement was made by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) on Wednesday. Shakeeb, known for hosting popular shows like 'Thiyabeyfulhunge Furusath' and 'Ehaaraa Mihaaru,' brings extensive media experience to the role. Most recently, he hosted President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s podcast, 'Rayyithunaa Eku.' His appointment follows the resignation of Ibrahim Nasreen, who held the position until November 30. This marks the fourth change in PSM’s leadership within two years, with previous MDs, including Mohamed Saeed and Zeena Zahir, also stepping down after short tenures.
