Republic Day Official Ceremony Scheduled for November 19 in Hulhumalé

The President's Office has announced that the official ceremony for this year's Republic Day will be held on Thursday, November 19, at 8:30 PM at Hulhumalé Central Park. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will address the nation during the event. The ceremony will also feature the presentation of national awards to long-serving civil servants who have served the state for more than 35 years, as well as special awards recognizing outstanding achievements in knowledge, skills, and innovation. The awards include a badge of honor, a certificate, and a commemorative document for long service, while the special awards consist of a medal and a commemorative document. Recipients are selected by the National Awards Committee established by the President. Republic Day, observed annually on November 11, marks the re-establishment of a republican system of government in the Maldives.
