Saeed is a golden son who serves the country with education and experience: Ali Moosa

People's Majlis member Ali Moosa from the Horafushi constituency stated that Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed is a 'golden son' whose services to the Maldivian nation are highly valued due to his education and experience, and of whom the entire nation is proud. Speaking during a debate in the Majlis session regarding the no-confidence motion against Minister Saeed, Ali Moosa said that the opposition parties had submitted the matter to the Majlis without any basis, and out of personal animosity towards a minister who serves the nation with respect and honor. Noting that this is an unfounded issue, the member expressed his full confidence in Minister Saeed. While highlighting Minister Saeed's services, the member noted that he is an experienced individual who ran the largest tourism project in the country at a young age and successfully operated the largest resort in the Maldives for a long period. He further stated that Saeed is the honored person who served as Economic Minister for eight years in recent history, holding the distinction of serving in that ministry for the longest duration. Highlighting that Saeed has spearheaded many projects while being part of the State Economic Council, Ali Moosa said that Minister Saeed played a leading role in advancing projects such as the Sinamalé Bridge work, Velana International Airport's new runway, passenger terminal, seaplane terminal, and fuel farm. He stated that all citizens, including members of the opposition MDP today, are benefiting from these services. Ali Moosa further stated that Minister Saeed is a person who loves religion, is sincere, and is completely free from corruption. Therefore, he said it is regrettable that a no-confidence motion was filed against such a capable person, and the member stated that the government's parliamentary group has full confidence in Minister Saeed.
