Saudi Embassy inaugurates Ramadan iftar initiative in Maldives

Politics ·
Saudi Arabia has launched its annual Ramadan program in the Maldives, an initiative implemented every year under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The program was officially inaugurated by Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya bin Hassan Al-Qahtani, at a ceremony attended by Maldives' Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and senior officials from both countries. The initiative, carried out under Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, is part of a global Ramadan assistance program funded by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia. It supports iftar distribution and religious activities in Muslim communities worldwide. This year’s program will continue to distribute Ramadan iftar meals across various parts of the Maldives, strengthening ties between the two nations and fostering Islamic solidarity.
