Politics ·
Saudi Arabia has launched its annual Ramadan program in the Maldives, an initiative carried out every year under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The program was officially inaugurated by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives, Yahya bin Hassan Al-Qahtani, at a ceremony attended by Maldives' Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and senior officials from both countries. The initiative, supervised by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, forms part of a global Ramadan assistance program that supports Iftar distribution and religious activities in Muslim communities worldwide. This year’s program will distribute Iftar meals across various parts of the Maldives, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering Islamic solidarity and enhancing bilateral relations with the Maldives in religious and humanitarian fields.
