Saudi Prince Dr Mansour Concludes Official Visit After Maldives Independence Celebrations

Prince Dr Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has departed the Maldives following an official visit to commemorate the 61st Anniversary of Independence. The Saudi Prince, who serves as Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Minister of State, attended the festivities as the Guest of Honour. Representing Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Dr Mansour visited the Maldives at the personal invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. The visit served as a high-level diplomatic gesture, reinforcing the strategic and cultural bonds between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Maldives. During his stay, Prince Dr Mansour held a courtesy meeting with President Muizzu at the President's Office. The two leaders engaged in discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding bilateral ties and brotherly relations that define the partnership between the two nations. To further solidify these ties, President Muizzu hosted a formal luncheon in honour of the Prince, where both parties reaffirmed their commitment to a close and enduring friendship. The diplomatic visit culminated with the Prince's attendance at the official Independence Day celebrations held at Republic Square. As the Guest of Honour, his presence highlighted the international support and recognition of the Maldives' sovereignty and historical milestones. Upon his departure from Velana International Airport, Prince Dr Mansour was seen off by a high-ranking delegation, including Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam and Mohamed Naseer, the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations. The visit concludes on a positive note, marking another step forward in the diplomatic cooperation between Malé and Riyadh.
