Senior Sergeant Arrested Over Missing Cigarette Cartons from Villimale' Police Station

A senior sergeant has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of cigarette cartons from the Villimale' Police Station. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Munawwar Adam, has been suspended from duty as authorities investigate two separate cases of missing cigarette cartons from the station. The first incident involved the confiscation of 32 cartons from a foreign national on May 23, with six cartons reported missing on November 12. The second case involved 25 cartons seized from two foreign nationals on December 23, 2024, which were also found missing on November 12.
