Shahil Mohamed Also Released After Arrest with Film Stars in Drug Case

Police in the Maldives have confirmed that Shahil Mohamed, a 42-year-old man arrested alongside three film stars in a drug operation, has also been released. The four individuals were arrested on October 8 during a special anti-narcotics operation in Vilimalé. The three film stars—Ahmed Azmeel (44), Ismail Jumaih (35), and Mohamed Vishal, also known as Roman (29)—were released earlier today. Police said that during the operation, officers used force to enter a room where the suspects were present and found drugs openly placed on a table. The temporary weight of the seized drugs was reported to be at a level consistent with trafficking thresholds. Police have now confirmed that all those arrested in connection with the case have been released.
